Church Life

Children and Youth

Messy Church

Messy Church meets on the first Thursday of every month (except August). Doors open at 3:30pm and we are finished by 5:45pm. The activities are aimed at primary aged children and their families.

Each session is broken up into three sections:

  • Play Time -  some games and a time to relax after a day at school and for the parents to have a cuppa and chat.
  • Story and Crafts Time - all our activities help us remember our Bible story or thought for the day.  We may sing, and have some prayer activities too.
  • Meal Time - we finish off with a light meal, which is fairly simple fare.

Everything is accessible to all ages with help and encouragement from the adult helpers. There are also toys available for our younger children.

While there is no charge, we do ask for a small donation towards the food, but only if you are able.

Contact the Church Office for more information.

Toddlers

Toddlers meets every Wednesday in term time from 10-11.30am for an action packed morning of play, crafts and singing.

The children have access to our two halls, one with toys and dressing up clothes and the other provides an area for crafts and other activities.

Parents and carers are able to enjoy a cup of tea and biscuits while looking after their children. It is also a good opportunity to catch up with friends and meet others from the community.

There is a charge of £1 for 1 adult and 1 child to cover expenses. There is a charge of 50p for and additional adults and children (over 1).

Contact the Church Office for more information or visit our Facebook page to find out what is going on.

Other Groups

Tuesday Tea

Tuesday Tea is open to all and meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (except August) from 3 to 4.30pm. It is a time of fun and fellowship with games, quizzes and other activities.

The afternoon ends with tea and some food for thought.

Contact the Church Office for more information.

Fellowship Groups

Fellowship groups provide a place for informal Bible study, discussion and prayer support.

They are important building blocks in the life of the church and offer the opportunity to make friends and share faith and ask questions more informally. There is also always a cup of tea and time to chat.

Some groups meet in homes and others at the church. Some meet during the day and others on evenings.

Contact the Church Office for more information.
